Calumet District is part of the Pathway to Adventure Council (PTAC), Scouting America.  

Calumet District spans over thirty Communities, from Orland Park to Homewood.  From Lansing to Matteson, and from Oak Forest to Beecher.

Scout Sunday 2026

When is Scout Sunday, Scout Sabbath and Scout Jumuah in 2026?

Typically, Scout Sunday is the Sunday before Scouting America’s anniversary which is February 8th. This date is flexible to accommodate the congregation’s needs.

Scout Sabbath is the Saturday following Scout Sunday. Congregations may also choose another Sabbath on which to celebrate Scout Sabbath.

The Scouting America guidelines suggest these Scout Sunday, Scout Sabbath, and Scout Jumuah dates for 2026:

  • Scout Sunday – February 8, 2026
  • Scout Sabbath/Scout Shabbat – February 6 & 7, 2026
  • Scout Jumuah – February 5 & 6, 2026

Calumet District Yukon Derby

February 21, 2026
8:45am-12pm

Each Den/Pack will check in with their sled and their six essentials before starting any stations. They will be checked for appropriate apparel. No scout will be permitted to stay if not wearing boots. They should have a den/Pack cheer.

Each group will move around the grounds to the identified stations.

Hot Chocolate and camp donuts will be available outside the warming station located in Black Bear Lodge
